MISS GOODCHILD
Artist/ Illustrator/ Art Facilitator
Graduating with a BA (Hons) in Illustration in 2008, Miss Goodchild began her creative journey as a community artist, leading vibrant mural projects both locally and internationally. Collaborating with NGOs and young children, her early work focused on transforming public spaces through art while raising awareness of pressing social issues such as inequality and environmental justice.
In recent years, Miss Goodchild has transitioned into primary education, where she continues to integrate her artistic expertise into the classroom. She has successfully established art clubs, curated school exhibitions, and led mural projects, enriching the school community with creativity and purpose.
Currently pursuing an MA in Art Psychotherapy, Miss Goodchild collaborates with Reading-based arts charity Jelly, where she designs and facilitates inclusive, arts-based workshops. Jelly has provided her with a platform to fuse her passions for art, teaching, and emotional wellbeing, helping her expand her creative outreach.
Miss Goodchild also maintains a personal illustration practice, working with pen and pencil on digital devices to explore themes of politics, identity, and the environment. Her artwork has been featured in various environmental initiatives, including Grow Heathrow and Friends of the Earth Scotland, where her illustrations serve as a visual call to action on climate change. Her work is also archived in the V&A London, where she created a poster for Climate Rush in 2009.
Miss Goodchild received the Olive Morris Award in 2011 in recognition of her powerful community engagement and graphic work addressing critical issues such as housing and social justice.
